Self Defense Tip # 1

Creating distance gives you time.
Creating distance gives you time.

Self Defense is all about time and distance.

Distance & Time. The more you have of both, the more options you have. Putting something between yourself and an attacker can accomplish this. A car or furniture or any other large object are good choices. You can now decide how to use this time wisely. Much depends on your EDC or Every Day Carry. It could be a tactical pen, pepper spray or even your car keys. If you have a concealed weapon, you now have the time to draw it.

By definition, an ambush is a total surprise.  If your trained reaction is to get some distance, resorting to your EDC or getting your mind right to defend your self, you are more likely be successful.  If you have to rely only on hand to hand skills, you can now prepare yourself mentally for the violence.  Look forward to more of our self defense tips to come.
