Krav Maga prepares military operators for hostile environments

KRAVtopmainATA Leadership Martial Arts has a passion for working with local military. We have found that our Krav Maga is well-integrated, meaning that similar defensive principles apply to a variety of hostile situations. Therefore, the system can be learned in a relatively short period of instruction. The system is designed to train large numbers of personnel at one time. The techniques are easy to retain with minimal review and can be performed under extreme stress. The Krav Maga System has been overwhelmingly praised by defensive tactics instructors from federal, state and local law enforcement agencies as well as hand to hand combat trainers from special units of the military. ATA Martial Arts takes great pride in knowing that our techniques have found their way protecting freedom and the lives of our military personnel in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Our Combatives training has been very effective for several reasons. Master Michael Brown has found that the simple, effective and aggressive techniques require minimal training time and deliver maximum retention, especially under stress. The system deals with scenarios where, for any number of reasons, operators face life threatening situations when they are unarmed or in which higher force options cannot immediately be accessed. From this perspective the operator must respond with sound, aggressive, unarmed defensive techniques and combatives until a transition to a higher force option can be achieved or acquired. The program features both offensive and defensive techniques.

Master Michael Brown is a seventh degree black belt in Taekwondo and a certified instructor in Krav Maga.  He is a two time world champion in sparring and a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps.  Master Brown has taught Combatives and personal defense in North Carolina for 24 years.  He and his wife, Master Kimberly Brown love developing the “Yes I can” attitude in both adults and children.
